Welcome to the third installment of America's longest running sneaker gimmick post, 10 Kicks That Need A Price Drop So I Can Buy Them Already. That also means that stores both of the online and brick and mortar variety are clearing out inventory to make way for the fall season. Sales are going to be happening for plenty of summertime kicks so now is a great time to stock up and buy those kicks you've been itching to cop but weren't hyped enough to sell out.

But sometimes those sales prices just ain't low enough yet. Since our last post, a lot of great sneakers have dropped that are still sitting in stores and have already had their MSRP dropped significantly.

If you tried picking up the Nike Flyknit Racer Sale "Rainbow" this morning and were rejected by Nike like me, then you probably still have a sour taste in your mouth. I had been counting down the days for the release just to fail miserably. Oh well on the next one I guess, right?Today we get a preview of another upcoming colorway of the Flyknit Racer that will hopefully get our mind off of the "Rainbow" colorway that many of us were hoping to buy, or not. This new colorway features a combination of royal blue and neon green on the upper with a bright royal midsole. The Swoosh has been done in black to add some contrast while the laces have been left white.

Many people found it strange that two colors were chosen, but Pantone explains that the goal that they hope to achieve by doing this is to shatter stereotypes and promote gender equality. Designer Brett Goliff took both of the Pantone "colors of the year" and decided to give us an interpretation of what they would look like if placed on the popular Nike Flyknit Racer. Up above we see three different versions: Serenity (blue), Rose Quarts (pink) and one that combines both colors.

Dank Customs did some brainstorming and decided to create a hybrid Nike sneaker that combines features of the Nike Air Max 1 with the beloved Shop Nike Flyknit Racer. Some people may say both models are great as is and should not be altered, but once you take a look at the end result, I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised.
