The Adidas Stan Smith For Sale may be one of the most classic and traditional sneakers ever, but this latest makeover for the iconic tennis shoe is anything but. The silhouette gets two bold upgrades this spring. First, a python skin texture for the popular reptilian look. Second, that snakeskin texture gets done in from front to back in a reflective silver material. These definitely aren’t your grandpa’s Stan Smiths.

Opening Ceremony brings us the third chapter of their take on the classic Adidas Stan Smith Women silhouette, and it features a straight trippy almost three-dimensional diamond pattern with hands stretching through covers the shoe. An off-white rubber sole serves a nice contrast against the bonkers upper and grey premium full grain leather detailing on the heel and Opening Ceremony-branded tongue tab is a nice touch.

Paris’ Colette have stepped up to the adidas Originals colab plate to take a subdued swing at the court classic and recently resurrected Adidas Stan Smith Men. True to all things Colette, the silhouette features an all white base with a bit of Colette Blue popping off the heel tab, toe and tongue detailing. This is a limited release with only 100 pairs going to retail so best jump at them if you’re interested.

Belgian fashion mastermind Raf Simons joins the legion of Adidas Stan Smith Cheap collaborators, taking the tennis classic into new design territory. You could be forgiven for not recognising this as a Stan Smith at all, a paint stripe slices down the middle and it’s pretty disorienting. Is that what is different about the Raf edition to the regular Stans? Yes, but that’s not the major difference, the kicker here is the fat velcro strap that replaces the lacing.
