Unlike the previously-surfaced Dunk Low “Giraffe” yet to launch, the forthcoming pair isolates its animal-related pattern to the profile swooshes and heel underlay. Smooth leather throughout the remainder of the upper opts into a “colorless” aesthetic that resembles inaugural styles of the Nike Blazer Mid Women. Labels on the tongue also follow suit, abandoning their vintage “Flash Crimson” flair. Underfoot, sole units round out Nike Sportswear’s latest proposition in an all-“White” composition.

After unveiling two Nike Blazer Mid Men featuring leopard prints side Swooshes, the brand is continuing to get wild with the placement of these patterns. For an upcoming Grade School exclusive, the 1977 silhouette approaches the animal print in a much different manner, while also maintaining a sleek, modern look.

Instead of applying the brown leopard spots to the Swoosh, these suede prints are found on the heel tab and an overlay on the forefoot of the lateral side. While a patterned heel tab has been seen before, the latter is a new concept, since the overlay often appears in grey suede. This leaves the Swoosh to adopt a black suede makeup, matching the Nike logo on the tongue label.
